Advanced Audiology & Hearing Aids takes a holistic, patient-first approach to care. By paying close attention to each patient’s wants and needs, Dr. Jerrilyn and Dr. Madix craft treatment plans based on individual requirements. Many of their patients see them not only as doctors but as friends and advocates throughout their own hearing health care journey.
Dr. Jerrilyn Frasier-Vaughan
After spending almost 20 years working in a busy ENT practice, Dr. Jerrilyn decided it was time to bring something new to add to the audiology field. In July 2019, she opened the doors to a practice focused on hearing rehabilitation and helping patients improve their communication with loved ones. Dr. Jerrilyn’s background in speech-language pathology and long-term care facilities gives her a unique insight into the impact of communication and cognitive changes of the aging population, as well as the need for individualized treatment plans. Dr. Frasier has also been honored and featured as a 2021 Top Doc in BayouLife Magazine, was voted the best of Lincoln parish in 2022 and received the Advocate and Leadership award from The Louisiana Academy of Audiology in 2022.
Dr. Steve Madix
Dr. Steve Madix is now a full-time provider of audiological services and hearing aids at Advanced Audiology, as well as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Louisiana, Monroe (ULM) where he teaches classes on hearing loss and communication. He is an audiologist, clinical researcher and advocate for the hearing impaired with decades of experience in the field of hearing and the treatment of hearing disorders. Dr Madix is also the founder and executive director of the Louisiana Academy of Audiology. The opportunity to help restore communication through improved hearing led Dr. Madix to his passion for audiology. He is most excited about the technology available to us that provides the means to completely change a person’s life.
